Im not asking here about the error im asking how i narrow the search. | | Distinguished Member with 39,513 posts. | | Join Date: Oct 2002 Location: Dayton,Oh | | Like I said.......(application)+error+718 | | Senior Member with 273 posts. | | Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Yorkshire, England Experience: Intermediate | | So there isnt a way of searching for the the string (error 718) then, is that what yr saying? cos when i try error+718 i get results for error and 718 seperatly | | Distinguished Member with 39,513 posts. | | Join Date: Oct 2002 Location: Dayton,Oh | | Perhaps there is no post at this site that contains that contains "error+718".
I'd suggest a Google search. | | Senior Member with 273 posts. | | Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Yorkshire, England Experience: Intermediate | | Yes there is, i found it in the results with all the error and 718s | | Distinguished Member with 2,675 posts. | | | | Not to mention that this thread uses error 718 multiple times and does NOT get found by the search, even when I search only this forum. Cdpaul, the search is not giving you all thread with either error or 718, it's giving you all threads (or most threads?) with error and 718, they just don't happen to be together most of the time. If you look at the threads with the word error, they also contain 718 somewhere else in the thread. At least that narrows down the returns to only 34. Unfortunately, I don't think there's any way to find "error 718" the way there is on google. The search function here is not as robust as something like google so you might have to weed through a few non-relevant posts to find what you're looking for. | | Moderator with 96,645 posts. | | Join Date: Oct 2002 Location: South Eastern PA, USA Experience: Advanced age & experience | | Did anyone take note of the fact that you can use the "Search with Google" link on the search menu? You simply put the actual search term in quotes, "error 718", and it comes up with only the ones that exactly match.

#15 | Don't feel too bad, I passed this by the first time because I didn't think of that option either. Then I came back and realized that I actually had the solution.
Of course, I wonder how this worked out for cdpaul? | THIS THREAD HAS EXPIRED.
