Sorry about being so dumb but im trying to limit my search and cant seem to do it.

I want to find any info on "error 718" but i keep getting results for "error" and "718".

How do i search for both together please?

It would help if you also wrote the application the error was associated with.

Before asking for help with the "actual" error i want to search for any similar posts. Im not asking here about the error im asking how i narrow the search.

Perhaps there is no post at this site that contains that contains "error+718".

I'd suggest a Google search.

Not to mention that this thread uses error 718 multiple times and does NOT get found by the search, even when I search only this forum. Cdpaul, the search is not giving you all thread with either error or 718, it's giving you all threads (or most threads?) with error and 718, they just don't happen to be together most of the time. If you look at the threads with the word error, they also contain 718 somewhere else in the thread. At least that narrows down the returns to only 34. Unfortunately, I don't think there's any way to find "error 718" the way there is on google. The search function here is not as robust as something like google so you might have to weed through a few non-relevant posts to find what you're looking for.

Did anyone take note of the fact that you can use the "Search with Google" link on the search menu? You simply put the actual search term in quotes, "error 718", and it comes up with only the ones that exactly match.

Not that difficult, no?

Ha! Uh, that would be no. I always go directly to the advanced search so that I can search by post.

Don't feel too bad, I passed this by the first time because I didn't think of that option either. Then I came back and realized that I actually had the solution.

Of course, I wonder how this worked out for cdpaul?
