Question Network
I have a few computers on a network, but want to back everything up. Should i either use one of the computers we don't often use as a backup PC or should i just back it up on my external HD (320gb)?
I had a tech guy who has just decided to leave without any notice and i am not to familiar with networks!!!!!

Well, the best idea when trying to back up several computers all connected to a network is to get a NAS (Network attached storage) device. You basically connect into your router, and it acts as an external hard drive for everyone on the network. They're relatively cheap and usually are purchased at 512GB or 1TB.

Without buying anything, you're best off using the external hard drive, but I'm not sure what you want to backup. More than two computers will definitely not fit on there.

That is if you're backing everything up.

Use the hard drive to back up the most important things for now, and then buy a NAS when you get the chance.
