How do I set Win.Me. to remind me of important dates? Please remember to keep it simple for my simple mind. Thanks Dave.

There are a large number of third party programs that can do that.

Browse around: http://download.cnet.com/downloads/1...d&cn=&ca=10001

Good luck,

Actually with Me windows does it automatically. I didn't even put effort into getting mine set up to do that automatically. Right after I installed it it asked me if I wanted to do that. SO anyway... I don't remember how you do it but I will find the place where after I send this. It is really nice... I have DSL so it is always connected, and so when ever there are new updates it gets them and automatically installs then and then tells me that "new updates are installed" and I have to restart my computer.

Not 100% sure but I think Money Pit was looking for some way to notify him of Calender events such as birthdays, Meetings ect.

Hey Dave. I have WinMe as well and I don't think it does have a reminder that comes built-in. Well...at least not that I could find anyway. I did a little searching for you and found several decent Reminder software products for you to check out. As far as I can tell from researching them, they are all spyware-free:

http://www.srosystems.com/sro_bc.htm

http://www.neverforget.com/index.html

http://www.onlythebestfreeware.com/p...program_id=117

http://www.bhwhost.com/tcb_software/remindme.html

http://www.rjsoftware.com/ClockWise/about.html

http://www.skst.com/perpetualmotion/

http://www.gregorybraun.com/Remind.html

I hope one of them works for you. Best of luck and have a great weekend!

hey Moneypit,

Would you believe that making msn.com your homepage, can be your calander, reminder, and your organizer. It will tell you if you have a hotmail email or if your MSN Messenger buddies are on line. The homepage is customizable to include weather, local or national news, and stock prices. There is other stuff too. Do I sound like an MSN salesperson? Na, they just up-graded mine and I think it's neat.

I wanted to make TSG my homepage but I don't want to give out my PM address. hehe

You can also use Yahoo calender to accomplish the same thing. You can set up important dates, and have it email you at any email address as far in advance as you wish, and as many times as you wish.
