Solved: OK, I give up!
Please, please, will someone tell me how to post a photo actually in the body of the post rather than as an attachment?
Pretty please?

Hello all

The way blackmirror suggested is a great way to insert images & I thought the only way. However I noticed that if you delete the images from your Photobucket account, the image will no longer be available to view within the post you have uploaded to.

Have a look at this thread for an alternative.

Correct, I don't recommend posting them off the site, since as you say, they aren't permanently linked to the message.

I recommend uploading them directly to TSG.

The only advantage posting photos off site is when they are greater than the TSG file limitations.
I've had to post off site, some large panoramas that could not be reduced and still retain the look and feel the original presented.
Doesn't happen very often, though.

Correct, in that special case, posting off-site makes sense. I especially don't like technical posts off-site, since when they get deleted, it makes the thread useless for future searches.

I read somewhere that if you donate to TSG, you'll be able to post pictures instead of thumbnails. Where's that link....

digging...

You can post pictures now, you just get a thumbnail in the thread which links to the picture.
