Create a new user
My sister used to own the Windows XP custom built computer that I am now using. The builder moved out of state and then my sister moved to another country. For several months the computer laid dormant and true to form, someone thought it was a good idea to use the machine but then there was no one who could remember my sister's password. We even called overseas to ask, but she doesn't remember.
I just erased my sister's namein the box that comes up when the computer is booted and put in a new name and password. It worked. Maybe it only works for custom built computers. But for the time being my idea was the only one that has worked other than completely reloading all the software into the machine.

What Kind of Virus?
My computer showed that there was a virus called Worm.Win32.Net Sky that was entered by e-mail. Someone had hacked my father's e-mail and stole his passwords. But I don't know how to download a program that will get rid of the virus. Is there really a site that where you can download a program that will take care of the virus? One of my friends said that there was.

Thanks John. I am not totally computer illiterate but my father was one of the first IBM technicians and sometimes I even get to help him.
