PC repair courses
I am uncertain if I am in the correct forum but maybe someone can direct me. I am interested in taking courses that would teach me how to repair my own PC. What kind of courses would this be and what are their names.? Where would I go to take them?

Is this just to repair your own PC or to repair generally

Quite a few free tutorials on the web, but I find the best place is probably here and get the support for the specific issue you have

This is to repair mine, friends, or my family members PC in general when there is ever a problem. I do not want to necessarily become a member of the "Geek Squad" but I would like to understand my computer a little more and be able to fix a problem without having to contact tech support person.

Practice makes perfect,
(or maybe worse, but then life is a learning experience).

Mike Meyers has some pretty good books some of the at home courses use these but I would be careful using some of the at home courses because I know from experience that most likely you'll get out of date materials. Just buy a new Mike Meyers A+ certification book.

Heh, the most immersive PC repair experience I ever got was from working for Geek Squad

You guys can laugh, but when you're working on 20 machines at once every day, you learn "problem trends" a lot faster than you would from working at most other places

Since I need to learn to repair the computers before I work for the "Geek Squad", I will try the Mike Meyers books first.
