Make a shortcut to SHUTDOWN.EXE, it's in C:\WINDOWS\System32, use the parameter -s

If you open a command prompt and type SHUTDOWN /? you'll get a help screen for all the options.

Left click on desktop, choose -new- shortcut-. When screen comes up for name, type in SHUTDOWN -s -t 01. Put space between -s and -t, and 01. Click on that shortcut and your computer will shutdown in a few seconds.
