G-Mail Notifier
That icon down on the bottom right hand corner..the envelope that turns blue when sensing the arrival of new e-mail, has been acting kind of slow..it does not respond immediately when e-mail arrives...is there any way of changing this to lessen the lag time between when e-mail arrives and the notifier responds?

Thank You Kindly for any and all information on this

Maybe it's your Internet connection that's slow, causing the program to take a while to check? Also, its check frequency might be low ...
If you use Fire Fox, there's a Notifier add-on.
