Problems with WebWasher
I used WebWasher for two years but finally uninstalled it because I had too many problems with Java scripts and incompletely loaded web pages.

For example, I brought up a web site from which to order a set of coasters. Everthing was visible except the how-to-order information. It turned out the webmaster used a Java script to display that data and WW thought it was an ad and supressed it.

I'm now trying AdSubtract. Too early to form an opinion on it.

I think the real question is: why are you buying coasters on the internet?

Unhappy I'd like to add my 2 cents...
I installed web washer and found that I have problems on the Washington Post website and MSNBC. The pages do not always fully load, especially the WP...the status bar states that the page loaded with errors!

Is it in the way ww is configured or is there a better way to suppress popups and windows?

You're going to get a "page loaded with errors!" message (or something similar) with all these ad-suppression utilities. I'm using AdSubtract now, after two years with WebWasher, and I still get the "...with errors" message occasionally.

I recommend AdSubtract. I like it better than WebWasher. It does a superb job of suppressing pop-up's and pop-under's.

In any event, play with the configuration menu until you get what you need. Pay particular attention to Java scripts. I do not filter scripts.

Another option is the Free Opera Browser w/java, it has a cool feature, you can control cookies and pop-ups with a push of the F12 key, and it works , give it a try.

HERE is the link...Rhett PS the browser is free if you are willing to put up with a add at the top !...Rhett
