My Documents
Hi all:

I don't know if this is a tip or not. Maybe someone out there can tell me. I heard from a friend that when you go back to a previous date on your computer that the things in My Documents will not be lost. Like if I put a bunch of stuff in there that I don't want to lose, they will still be in there after I have gone back to another date. Just curious because it would save me a lot of trouble next time I have to do this.

If you can't wait for a real answer, here's something to try...

Along hewee's line, make a separate folder. Except copy the stuff in My Documents to that folder, preferably on a separate disk if it'll fit; leave the original documents there. Then do the restore. This will save all of your original documents in case the system restore erases them.

If you read what it says in system restore it says that nothing will be lost when a previous date is loaded.
