Well, I am unclear on the legality of this, so please correct me if I'm wrong.

I have a purchased copy of B&W 2, but I have a laptop, so carrying space is limited. Is there a way I can make the program run without requiring the CD?

Nope, and if you consult the TSG Rules, you'll see that this kind of activity is off-topic here at TSG.
