Greets hewee,

Good program. I D/L it a while back and have used it a couple of times to recover some data from what was thought to be unrecoverable hard drives. Hey it' free so what would one have to lose by trying it before chunking the hard drive.

kilowatt1,

Hey great someone that used it.
So it works good then? You can't bet the price.

I was wondering about trying it out.

I have Norton Protect and Unerase but it does not let me recover things like it did on my old PC with Windows 95 on it. Guess because Windows 98 does things in other ways.

On my Windows 95 PC I had a Dos folder and all the scan by Norton AV went tru the DOS folder. Windows 98 uses the Windows/temp folder.
But with the Windows 95 PC and the Dos folder I could get a couple of all the downloads. It was nice because if I by mistake hit the cancel button and not the save button on a download I could still go and get the file. Plus I have some image programs that have and smartupdate and they were really just self.exe file that you can run on your own but were run tru the program and installed on it's own. So I was able to get copies of those downloads so if I ever have to redo my PC I will not have to go back and spend hours getting the updates and addons again. Plus down the road they will not even be at the site to get as new versions come out.
I want my Unerase to be like on my Windows 95 PC but I don't know if I can. I hate the downloads going to the temp folder because it is too easy to get writed over.
