Less ambiguous titles get more help
The search feature of this site is fabulous but if the subject titles of the threads are confusing or ambiguous they can't be used very efficiently.
A title like "Can you help me?" doesnt' get a lot of answers from new folks like me because we can't use our surfing time wisely investigating the content of such a thread.
If surfers are looking for "similar situation" threads from which to glean solutions, poor subject titles force them to ask the same old tired questions repeatedly, cloogging up the search data base.
Be precise. Be concise. Get results.
All in all, this is the site for results.

This is a big issue. Unclear or irrelevant Subject lines in threads will always cause problems to people trying to Search here.

I can suggest, when using the search function, that at the bottom left of the Search page, you will see Search Options. Make sure that you have selected "Show results as posts" as this makes it a lot easier to find what you are looking for. It will display some of the text in the post there, and clicking the link provided will actually take you to the relevant post you are looking for, instead of just to the beginning of the thread. This is especially important if you are looking for something, and find that it is located in a 20 page thread.

Morania - thanx for bringing this subject up again. We have had it in the past, but this is one that should be kept near the top, where as many people can see it as possible.
