little ad-aware tip
a few friends of mine mentioned how they wish ad-aware would let you select all of the (possibly hundreds) of found items, without checking each box individually. If you don't already have this set up, here's how....

open ad-aware...
select configure...
select options tab...
tick box for "mark all references by default"

now, when you hit CONTINUE after a scan, you will see all references pre-checked. Just look through them to be sure you know what you are removing.

I'm sure you can also right-click in the window and there's an option to "select all".
I'll check tonight, and if I'm wrong I'll come back and eat my words!

....however we need to invoke that option, at least folks can now be made "aware" that there is one. Sometimes those little inconveniences don't even get asked about.....we just keep doing it the long way, not realizing there is a better way.

Besides all the MAJOR problems this site has helped me with, it is also the multitude of "tips" that I pick up here that makes every visit worthwhile....thanks TSG.

yep.....Gram`s correct, right click anywhere in the pane and you get a context menu enabling checking/un-checking of all items in the $h!t list, kind of handy when you have 238 items like a friend of mine had
