hello bro,
I had a Lcd of 22" intially i tried some transparent cover . Using the support of cello tape i use to stick the cover. Unfortunately in course of time , at the areas where i added the cello tape, glue stains were stubborn , i tried colin surface cleaner and some deorderants which contains alchol but nothing is appropriate so, which i can use to remove the gum stains.

thank you

regards
sandy

I use a product called goof-off. Works good on everything that I've used it on.
Just try it on a small area first.

Hi, Another tip> If your tape gummy leftovers are on the frame of the monitor (not on the screen) try a little WD40 to get it off. Spray or drip just several drops onto a cloth or paper towel etc and wipe with that. WD40 lists glue or adhesive removing as one thing it is able to help with.... test on a not very visible area first.

Another common item that will remove tape residue, even medical tape glue, is nail polish remover, however it can remove paint and may harm plastic, like soften it so be very careful....nail polish remover also burns.

Mineral spirits will remove adhesive residue without harming plastic or paint.

I try alcohol first, then I go for lighter fluid, then mineral spirits, finally acetone. Be careful with acetone, is may eat the plastic, best to try on a hidden surface first. Usually, one of the first three will do the trick.
