HP D7560 Photosmart and Win2k
Hp labels their D7560 printer as incompatible with Windows 2000.
Just an FYI.........that printer will do basic duties on a Win2K machine with SP4.

I bought one of these printers on sale that was reasonably priced and was using it with my XP system.
All attempts to install the driver and software according to HP directions failed with the Win2K computer and the install complained it was incompatible with Win2k.
But I recently read a suggestion to plug in the printer while both computer and printer are turned on, when the hardware wizard pops up, choose searching the HP CD for a driver.
( I think I used to do that with my old Win98se computer)

And Win2K found the printer driver, installed it, but refused to install the rest of the software package. I think one thing missing is the ability of my Win2K computer to read ink levels.
It will print colors, but I suspect some options might be missing.

It prints letters and documents very well.

I've had some time to check out the Win2K installation some more.
The software not installed relates to tools..... such as ink levels, print head alignment.
But the printer is programmed to directly interface with the tools option through the small LCD touch screen built into the printer.

So it looks like all printer functionality exists when hooked up to a win2k computer.
