Old hard drive
I seen a video a while back where a guy took an old HDD, a 4 port USB 2.0 Hub.
Gutted the HDD, removed the outer case of the hub, took four 2gb flash drives, removed them from there case. Mounted the hub w/the four flash drives inside the HDD case, made a small notch in the end of the case so as to run the usb cable inside to the hub then put the cover back on the HDD.
You have a external 8gb back-up. When you look in my computer you will see all the flash drives with there perspective drive letter.
I'm working on one now, will let you know how it turns out.

I dunno, but wouldn't this be a bit less expensive and easier to use to get the same storage capacity?

Yes it would. The guy behind doing this was showing what you could do with your old HDD other than using them for a paper weight.

If the USB cable was long enough, you could use it as a paper weight and extra storage at the same time.

OK, I made my back-up, is a real pain in the back side and no big deal, a lot easier to just buy a bigger flash drive.. taking your advice cwwozniak..

Not quite true. The last time I checked Metacafe pays the video producer $2 per 1000 views if it meets Metacafe's criteria. Create a video that has an interesting title but the project itself does not make economic sense and profit.

not quite, if no one tries anything to do a different way, nothing new or better would be invented. As useless as this may seem, someone might get a better idea what and how to do something. I'd rather be curious than bored or boring.
