What Firefox addons/extensions do you use to improve security?
I keep Firefox updated along with the addons and extensions I use, but wonder what other members are using as addons in regards to security.

I use:
NoScript
Flashblock
Adblock Plus
Better Privacy
Customize Google ( remove ads and spam)
Locationbar2
Refcontrol

Anyone have a favorite addon/extension for Firefox security that they'd like to add?

I tried NoScript, but it was too much of a PITA to keep responding.

You got to take the time to set it up.

Go to all the sites you go to all the time and gave the rights that are needed.

Then export out your setting so your have a copy of all the sites.

When I got new computer all I had to do was import the list.

You can do all this in one night.

Pages will load faster also if your not loading the java script and/or java script for all the other sites linked to the site your at.

It only takes 2 seconds to give those rights to a web page if/when they are needed.
In the course of a day, I probably only enact javascript rights at most 10 times so that's less than half a minute spread out over a day........not that unreasonable, imo

Since I've run for years with no issues the way I do, I'll stick with it. I also have several layers of backups in case something bad happens, which is far more important IMO.

If it ever becomes an issue, I might reconsider.

I use the following for FF browser security:
Adblock Plus
BetterPrivacy
CookieCuller
CustomizeGoogle
NoScript
Perspectives
RefControl
ShowIP
SSL Blacklist
Targeted Advertising Cookie Opt-Out (TACO)

I recommend them all.

I am currently running FF 3.5.4 and shortly will fire up 3.6b1.

One other thing required for security while using any browser is common sense - don't go where you wouldn't want your family to go - just stay out of the way of temptation, and be on the alert for any email from your bank - bank's don't send email (by policy) to their customers usually - i.e. it most likely will be someone looking to phish your identity and clean out your bank account.

lotuseclat79,
No need for Targeted Advertising Cookie Opt-Out (TACO) if you take control of the way you can deal with cookies with the Exceptions list rules.
