Many applications do that, I use SIW (System Information Windows).

I didn't know that and I'll have a look. Thanks, but nothing to be gained if GRC and SIW are equal in that regard. Well, is there?

SIW has far more informaton about the whole environment. If all you're interested in is the make/model of the processor, there are a lot of simple solutions. I'd suggest taking a look at it and seeing what it's about if you've never looked at it.

I have SIW installed on my machine and occasionally use it but the GRC link I posted is more, or less, for those who need to quickly know if they have a 32bit or 64bit processor without getting so involved with other aspects of windows. It would appear that by far most of us do not know computers as 'some' of you do. I for one do appreciate all of your efforts to 'educate' us in this regard.
