Block Senders List OE5.5
I looked for quite awhile for a solution to Blocked Senders List clearing itself on closing OE. I finally typed in the right phrase in Google and here is what I got:

This is stored in the registry and has probably become corrupted. Open regedit.exe and delete this key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{GUID}\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express\5.0\Block Senders

where GUID is the long number identifying your Identity. After rebuilding the list export that key so that you can restore it should it become corrupted again.

Thanks goes to joegz on Tek-Tips.

rebuild OE blocked senders list
I was really glad to see I wasn't the only one with the vanishing blocked senders' lists...

but could you tell me what you mean by "after rebuilding the list"? I found the key in question.

So I should DELETE it and ... then what?
Help please (but thanks for posting this; Iwas thinking I'd somehow deleted the list)

Delete that key, re-enter the addresses you want in your blocked senders list. That key will recreate itself correctly this time. You can export that key as a backup of the blocked senders list in case it corrupts again.

blocked senders list disappears
THanks for the quick response. I decided to go ahead and delete the key and see what happens.

I can't really "rebuild" until all those pesky people start pouring spam in on me. But I see what you mean, and I thank you.

And next time I'll know what is wrong...
