I was wondering if anybody knows of a freeware program that allows you to open AND close CD - CD/RW drives from the tool bar, or tray. One which is compatible with WinXP.

Thanks.

I seem to recall this coming up in a thread a couple of months back, but can't seem to find it.

You may want to try this one:

(Haven't tried it myself - if it works for you please post back and let us know.)

Exactly what I was looking for. Installed and works great. I wish I would have posted this question earlier, it would have saved me from always getting up to close the drive doors (my tower is not next to me) I know..I am lazy.

Thank-you!!!

Aaahh, but contrary to popular belief, laziness is the mother of invention.

Glad it worked for you.

(Hmm! I always thought that laziness was the invention of mothers [mine always picked up after me])

Hey Guys,

I've got Windows 95 and I downloaded the freeware, but for some reason I'm not getting the display on my browser. I went into explore and clicked on the file, it says that it has been installed.

Can someone please help me on this??

Tks, JS
