Here's a list of recommend registry cleaners.

Notice where it says ...
Quote:
Since the introduction of Windows XP, registry cleaning is no longer a crucial issue for the stability, security and performance of your system.
Don't mess around with it!
If you really want to fix your registry and computer .. A fresh install of Windows will work

Only once (the first time) .. After that, I can restore in about 15 minutes.
Requires an external HD and some Imaging software.

She knows what she's doing .. I was just picking on her
But I really doubt that I will update to XP SP3 .. I'll move to XP pro 64 first

According to M$ ...
Quote:
Windows XP SP3 contains a small number of new updates and should not significantly change the Windows XP experience.
Notice the choice of the wording "change" ... Where I think "degrade" should be.
I can feel it slow me down and introduce instability .. So it's now a choice of the lesser of two Evils.

If Microsoft keeps this up .. I may have to take up fishing for a hobby
