Thumbs up Language Translation page
I recieved a PM from PAVAROTI and boy was I shocked to see it was in Italian ! I was using Opera's browser and when I right clicked the highlighted text to copy it and paste here for a translation,I noticed Opera has a translate option !!

HERE is the Lycos page Opera took me to, it will translate several languages both ways..kind of cool because I was able to respond to PAV in his own language ! Check it out ...Rhett
(P.S. this will be handy to decipher MS Candy's rantings ..R5)

I tried to use babelfish to talk to Candy in Spanish, and man that translation was bad. Is the Lycos one the same thing or does it do words instead of letters?

http://www.tranexp.com:2000/ is one of the best I have seen, if you can ever get it when it is available. I guess loads of folks use it, as it is almost always busy.

Another one that works fairly well is

http://translator.dictionary.com/text.html

If you want some entertainment, take some song lyrics, translate them to another language, the back into English and see what you have!

Hi Guys I've tended to use LYCOS & AltaVISTA'S translations......usually German to english & Will give you the overall meaning but never accurate, even for my german colleagues & friends.

Are any of the other's more accurate with the words for translation have you found ?

Yes, the link I provided is fairly good at that.

http://www.tranexp.com for their main page, and explanation on what they do. Their translation service is used by many other "free" online translation services. Sort of like how TooToby's and Rhett's Lycos translator both are powered by Systran.
