Lightbulb Change IE Logo
WARNING :
This trick requires you to change Windows Registry Settings.

IT IS ONLY FOR USERS WITH ADVANCED KNOWLEDGE. IF YOU ARE A NOVICE, DO NOT EVEN THINK OF ATTEMPTING TO CHANGE REGISTRY. YOUR MACHINE MAY STOP FUNCTIONING COMPELLING YOU TO RELOAD WINDOWS.

---------------------------
WHAT YOU CAN DO:
# You can replace that big 'e' that appears on top in right side in Internet Explorer and Outlook Express and can keep a picture of your choice.
# When you open an Internet Explorer Window, by default its title is "Internet Explorer". You can change it to "(youname)'s browser" or "I am great" or anything else.

---------------------------
HOW TO DO:

# Make one small bitmaps in MS-Paint of size 22x22. Save it and close MS-Paint.

# Click on Start -> Run and type REGEDIT. Click on OK. The Registry Editor opens up.

# Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Microsoft -> Internet Explorer -> Toolbar. There you will find one string value by the name of SmBrandBitmap. If it is not there, create it. Modify its value. Give the full path of the bitmap.

# Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> Microsoft -> Internet Explorer -> Main. There you will find a string value by the name of Window Title. Modify its value and keep there a string of your choice.

# Close Registry Editor.

# Restart your machine.

# Open Internet Explorer and Outlook Express.

Keep an eye on right side top of the new windows. VOILA!! Your pictures are there instead of the default pictures and in Internet Explorer, the title of the window will be what you specified.

This surely works in version 5 IN Win 98 SE. I haven't checked it on 5.5 or 6. But it must work.

GOOD LUCK!!
