Smile For Norton AV users!
Hi All,
Most of you probably know this, but just wanted to share! Not a trick!

If users are being troubled by the computer checking the floppy drive at shutdown for a few seconds, do this and it'll stop checking the FDD at shutdown!

Right click on the NAV icon in the systray and then click on Configure Norton Antivirus. Under System, click on Advanced, then uncheck the box titled Scan floppies for boot viruses when shutting down Windows. Click on Ok!

Have a great day!

You're very welcome Dave!

Infact, I was really mad about it and thought it was a virus or so but later discovered that it was the ANTI-virus program...

Have a great day!

edit : The attachment will help better, thx for the addition Dave!

Well PVC seems this problem was more wide spread than thought and not to many of us knew about it possibly being caused by Norton.
Great catch and tip.
Attached pic of Norton 2002 AV options.
Thanks
Dave
