I'm guessing here ...

Jack Nicholson as Randall McMurphy in 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'

This was an awesome movie, and they guy who played the kid did an amazing job. The way he conveyed the idea that all he was looking for was approval (ultimately from his mother, but allegorically from anyone), and that was the cause of his instability, including his stutter, just blew me away.
