I think Grand Slam may be the best format ever. But I was a Jeopardy fan back with the original host ($ values were 10,20,30,40,50 in single jeopardy, and only 2 contestants went to the final answer). I also liked the later versions of Password. WSPC was fun to watch too.

Hated Millionaire, plus all the cheesy games (PYL being one of them -- sorry!)

Wow, that was one of the main reasons I DIDN'T like the show! That and all the "No whammy" screaming. Sheesh. Hated Family Feud because the audience always had to exclaim the missed answers when revealed. Hate that smarmy stuff!

I never much cared for WoF, but I do have an interesting story about it. Once back in the eighties, there were some contestants that were having a terrible time. I was at the house of my then-wife's aunt and uncle, and after about 4 or 5 missed letters, I guessed the puzzle. It was neat because I didn't use letters that were ON the board (there were NONE!), but by eliminating letters that were NOT on the board, I could figure out what had to be there. Her uncle told me there was no way I could know the answer, and bet me $500.00 I was wrong. I took the bet! He never paid me. I never saw him again. He passed away a few months later. Sigh.

Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader is a great show.....although Jeff Foxworthy is a little corny at times.
