The BOBS Fan,

Please do not alter the name of the poster quoted. This is very insulting and you should realize that, even if meant as a joke. I've edited your post.

Would you please explain to me how this is a homophone? Evidently I am ignorant about something here.

No, Bobs, you are not ignorant about anything.

hom·o·phone (hm-fn, hm-)
n. One of two or more words, such as night and knight, that are pronounced the same but differ in meaning, origin, and sometimes spelling.

Actually CCM, there is not homophone in the sentence The Bobs Fan quoted.
red, read; nose, knows; ball, bawl; rose, rose, are all homophones.
itch, italic; sale, lake; idar, itch; massage, messenger are NOT homophones (sorry)

It was a dark and stormy night the night the Knight was knighted.

Robert,

The word you used at the beginning of the sentence is not necessary and I have removed it.

It's OK Robert. I know you mean well.

BTW, although it was insulting, The BOBS Fan didn't swear at you.

It would be nice if you two could get off to a new start.
