OK,

Simple question really...

After reaching my current rank, (not sure what it is called), the usual 18340/19000 (not realistic points), format has changed to 18340/0 - is this becasue I have attained the maximum rank upto the last three as indicated here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battlefield_2142#Rank

If this is the case, how can I find out the points attained by those above me?

You will continue to accumulate points, but there are no more ranks above Brigadier General attainable through points.

The three top ranks (Major General, Lieutenant General, and Supreme Commander) are awarded based on your weekly performance as determined by EA Games. Basically, this means unless you play 8hrs a day, every day, and completely dominate everyone, you're stuck at Brig. Gen. for the rest of your career. Which is not necessarily a bad thing.

IMO, this is when the game gets really fun. Once you max out your rank and get all the unlocks, you can just spend your time actually 'playing' the game. Try new things, new weapons, and new classes that you don't normally use. Try different vehicles that you normally don't. It's a blast to explore all the different things you can do in the game.
