SuSe login prob
i have SuSe 8 on my pc. after i have logged in as myself and log out to log in as superuser it won't let me put a password in. then when i try to log back in as myself it does the same thing. once i enter in my username the word previous comes up next to where you pick KDE. if i go ahead and try to log in without a pw it will sometimes let me in. i thought it had something to do with saving my sessions so when i log out i made sure that that wasn't checked. now i can't enter a pw for superuser nor myself and if i hit accept it says log in failed. can someone let me know whats going on?

Try typing the password blindly.Somtimes those astericks(*) disappear but It will take your password anyway.
The "previous" thing is just saying it remembers the last window manager you used when you last logged in.
