Post So many versions of Linux
Ive been a windows user for a long time and am frankly getting tired of it so i decided to download and install linux . I have a problem tho am new to linux and i dont know which version would be the best for my system.

My system:
Intel p4 1.6ghz
512 ddr ram
80 gig hard drive
currently running windows xp pro

For your system I would recommend Redhat 9 or the newest version of Mandrake.

Get Mandrake 9.1 if you want to access yourXP Pro partitions.Red Hat doesnt support the NTFS filesystem because of patent concerns
