I don't use mandrake, but know a bit about Red Hat. Did you install LILOor some other dual boot manager?

I'll ask a moderator to move this to the Lunux forum, you are more likely to find an expert there.

Sounds like you need to run PM again and unhide the XP partition.
This isnt the first time I heard of this with XP/Linux setup with PM.That is usually the culprit.

Red Hat has it's own partition manager, name eludes me at the moment.

I'm sure Mandrake must also.

Run PM from the rescue floppies or the CD if its ver.8.If you didnt make the floppies you need to run the CD on a windows machine to make them.

From Mandrake, open a console, type "su" (no quotations), enter root password, then type "lilo" (again no quotations). lilo should then add Windows. Hope this helps.
