Unhappy asua p4p800 Deluxe + Mandrake
Hiya, ive got a Asus p4p800 deluxe motherboard. When I try to install linux mandrake 9.1 it asks me for scisi devices... Ive tried every single one of them but all of them give an error... I really need linux on my system for my university work.

If someone could help me it would be very much appreciated!

I dont see that board listed here .Nor did I see the 865PE chipset either. What kind of drive are you trying to install Linux on?This board supports both EIDE and SATA.
Maybe if you disabled the controllers you are not using?

I'm thinking there might be an IDE RAID controller chipset on that mobo that Mandrake is trying to detect.
