I got a sound issue, I am recieving no sound as root, if i log in as 1 of my user names i recieve sound on basic applicatiuons but no games.


When i was running RH there was a program to load up my sound card. Does anyone have any suggestions?

also if i go to audio properties, my speakers act like a mic, if i turn the mic volume up my speakers make hissing sound, if i mute the micro phone the hissing stops.

Maybe the root is disabling the sound?
