Re-install of KDevelop
I'm a little new at this, so don't flame me too much please. I have RH 9 installed, and the KDE that came with it. When it is coming up, it says: KDevelop 2.1 I have downloaded kdevelop-3.0.2, and I am wondering what all I need to do before I install it. Do I have to remove the present KDE?

I also downloaded the latest glimpse and will install it before I install the new KDE. But I need some advice on how to go about Re-installing the KDE.

I'm not a rh user but what you should have to do is...

untar the files since they are tar'd

cd to the directory that the files are in
it should have a configure file
so ./configure it
then make
make install after that

that should update it. Not sure if you need to remove the kdevelop before you do that though.

Don't remove kde though, otherwise you'll have to recompile 3.21...
