Hey,

I use a Netgear WG121 wireless USB 2.0 internet adapter to get internet on my windows. My question is, how do i get it to work with Slackware Linux?

thanks in advance

*note to self. Write a TSGL wireless howto

I believe, but am not certain, that this is a prism chiset, which means that the drivers from prism54.org may get you on your way. If that doesn't work, i've heard of many people with great success using ndiswrapper.

though they use the propriatary driverloader.

ok. i downloaded the prism drivers. then i typed this code into the terminal as the readme said to do:

Code:
make clean modules
make install
depmod -a
and everything looked good. however, internet still did not work.

one more thing -- every time i boot linux, the netgear doesn't work with win xp and i need to reinstall the drivers :/

Did you load the module, and are you using iwconfig? http://leaf.sourceforge.net/devel/jn.../iwconfig.html

iwconfig will depend on your network environment.

Try reading the iwconfig manpage. I can't really help, because it will differ from place to place.
