I am trying to install suse 6.2 on a server and when i go to load the module for the scsi controller it asks for parameters, i am a new linux user and have no idea what that means. Please help.

Well, parameters in and of themselves are settings that the OS needs to communicate with the hardware. I don't know the exact screen you're on, or if there is anything else being asked for other than parameters, but oftentimes they are used for additional settings beyond the minimal module settings. I won't claim to be a Linux guru, but describe for me the entire screen and what method you are using to install the module (YaST, RPM, etc) and I will try to help you. Failing that, you may consider skating out to www.linuxnewbie.org and posting there. Big site, lots of helpful and knowledgeable Linux users. Hang in there and good luck!
