Shockwave Flash and SuSE.....
See, I told you I'd be back in about 5 minutes asking another question! I love this place!

Anyhow, I have a few SWF files (Shockwave Flash objects) but I can't get SuSE linux to play them. Konqueror gives me an error saying that it can't initialize the Netscape plugin. So I tried the stand-alone player from Shockwave, but I couldn't figure out how to install it.

To sum it up, my 2 questions are:
1. Is SuSE Linux supposed to be able to play Shockwave Flash files right out of the box? If so, what's wrong with my setup?
2. How do I install a program from an installation script? I tried the directions that came with the package I downloaded, but I was getting Permission denied errors even though I was in Super User mode.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
Jacob

there is a plugin which i've used in firefox... dunno about konqueror but according to the macromedia site...

http://www.macromedia.com/support/do...easenotes.html

flashplayer 7 following should also work with konqueror...

http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/...ShockwaveFlash

download from the link above and carry out the install as per instructions on the site.... this means going in through the command line.
