How to dual-boot Fedora Core 3
How do you dual-boot FC3 with Windows. I know it has something to do with GRUB, but I have no clue what GRUB is? And I know how to install it, you put in the cd, reboot then go from there. But how do you configure it to dual boot??

I've never installed FC3 but it should be like all other Linux distros.
Grub is the boot loader - that is the screen that comes up and asks which OS you want to run when you first boot up.
Windows also has a boot loader and it really depends on which OS is installed 2nd. as to which loader is used. (of course this can always be changed if you know what your doing)
So, windows is already on the computer and you decide to install FC3.
You boot with it's CD and you should get an option to repartition the HD to make room for it. I split mine down the middle, half and half. Then some where in the install process you should be asked if you want Grub installed to the MBR - which you do in this case - and when the installation is finished and you restart the computer, up pops Grub asking which OS you want to boot to. High light the particular OS and hit enter, and thats about all there is to it.

Ok, so I do this and will have Linux on my comp?
And yes I have Windows first installed.
Oh and should I do the auto partition?

That depends on how much free space you have under windows. A good idea is to look at how much space you have in windows and decide how much free space you need to keep for future windows use and then run scandisk(chkdisk) and defragment your drive before you install Linux. I think the FC3 installer will suggest a re-partitioning scheme to you; be sure to look it over before you accept.
Check your hardware if you want, though this is becoming increasingly un-nescessary because most mainstream hardware has support in Linux now.
And of course, unless you feel sure you wont screw things up, back up anything in windows you can't afford to lose.
