QTParted
I was looking at Knoppix Hacks in the bookstore, and it said that you can partition your hard drive without stuff like Partition Magic, but by using QTParted and something else. Is this true, meaning that you can do it with Knoppix instead of spending 69.95 on Partition Magic??

I believe it has been mentioned before in the forums by either Tsunam or Neon. Not sure which.

Absolutely. It actually is pretty straightforward, and most of the more recent distros have graphical support for resizing NTFS partitions built into their HD management tools.

As just stated, it can be done via knoppix with qtparted. QTParted is basically a clone of Partition magic...It does a great job at it as well. Of course Knoppix has it there for you to do. Just remember that If you want to keep your windows partition you tell it to resize not delete any partitions.
