I want to format a harddrive and put linux on it. Is there any special way to format and do I have to change my bios in anyway to recognize the new linux system. Thanks in advance. Bill

you don't have to do anything special when installing linux. just create a big enough partition before installing and you'll be prompted to do the rest during the install. which distro are you installing?
