The 3DFX-HOWTO is increadebly confusing, talking more about how the cards work and their history than how to install the drivers. I have a generic brand Voodoo graphics card that works fine in Windows. I just have not figured out even what I need to install. Somehow I picked up that I needed to install Mesa but I allways get redirected to the samedownload page with about 10 or 11 different files on it none pertaining to mesa and I can not download any of them. I would really like to use this in LInux. Oh and by the way my distro is Mandrake 8.0. I have Tux to test the card out with.
