Knoppix Live CD - Network Connection
I finally got a VMWare virtual machine created to boot the Knoppix Linux Live CD ISO file. However, I have no network connection. How do I configure the network connection?

I know this isn't specific to VMWare. I created the actual Live CD, booted from it, and also didn't get a network connection.

Clearly I'm a newbie to Linux, but this seems like it should be a simple thing to resolve.

All help is much appreciated.

Wired or wireless?
DHCP or not?

Connectivity with Knoppix can be tricky.

I switched from NAT to Bridged (in VMWare), ran the network card configuration thing, and that did it. Sorry for the trouble, guys. A lifetime of working with Windows has me feeling a tad bit lost.

I'll try booting from the CD and using wireless later.
