This version has support for the standard H.264 and AAC codecs and has hardware-accelerated fullscreen support. Also supports the new XEmbed browser protocol which should make it work in Opera.

Might it work with KDE's Konqueror? They seem to want you to use FireFox in past flash versions, when I looked into why the plugin was being re-downloaded.

I do not know as I mainly use the Gnome environment. I presume that it is always a good idea to get the latest. I do not know to whom you refer when you say "They seem to want you to use Firefox in past flash versions"? Was Konqueeror re-downloading Flash? Why reference Firefox?

I have noticed webpages that seem to say they want you to use a previous version of Flash, but that I assume is because of the way the webpage is coded - perhaps with a dependent interface from a now defunct or denigrated interface in Flash?

I can check it out when I fire up the KDE version of Ubuntu Gutsy.

Adobe web site, made it clear that they only supported Firefox & the Safari browser.

The "XEmbed" browser protocol, sounded like it might help other browsers, not just Opera, and I thought "asking about Konqueror" would let you explain a little bit more about XEmbed.
