Saving Knoppix configuration on a USB drive
I'm having a hard time saving things on Knoppix, like any addons to Iceweasel, my desktop configuration, or anything. I found this webpage, but it doesn't seem to be working. Every time I load up, it's like it's loading for the first time. Does anyone know how to fix this?

At the end of the webpage your reference, it says:
To load the saved settings next time you start Knoppix, use the “myconfig” parameter at the boot prompt. For example, assuming you saved the archive to “/mnt/sda1”, at the boot prompt enter:
knoppix myconfig=/mnt/sda1
If it works you will see something like this near the end of the startup messages (Ctrl+Alt+F1):
Checking /mnt/sda1 for KNOPPIX configuration file...
Found, now executing /mnt/sda1/knoppix.sh

Is that the procedure you have followed, i.e. on that webpage without any variation to the procedure, and what do you see when you follow the above advice upon starting Knoppix the next time - i.e. with a Live CD for example and the USB plugged in?

If it is not working, most likely you did not properly setup and verify a persistent home directory for Knoppix according to the procedure on that webpage.

Oh, crud, I'd been typing in /media/sdb2, not /mnt/sdb2. Sorry for the stupid question, it works just fine now :P
