Question trouble with the dog
I've just downloaded yellow dog linux on the ps3. I have an error when i go to applications>system tools>add and remove software. I put in my password then when it trys to search, I get this"unable to retreve software information. I can't open downloaded files either. I also can't get video clips to work. I was on ps3 forums and one guy told me that you can't play pc games with ydl. Please tell me this isn't true! That is the only reason I bought the os! Is their any video tutorials out their I could get? I'm not that great at using computers and ydl is very complicated to me. I'm sure it just takes some getting use to. Any help is appreciated.

1. You should not have to buy Linux - it's free http://distrowatch.com/
2. Linux systems do not play games designed for Windows - however you can run some of them by using a Windows emulator, or a program like WINE.
3. I've not used Yellowdog but notice that it's not ranked very high as a popular distro.
4. Many of the more popular distros include WINE in their setup package.

You do if you want to run Yellow Dog Linux on the PS3.

Not sure if any other distro is running on the PS3.
