Solved: Javascript Not Working. Firefox/PCLOS2007
Hi All.
I have recently updated my OS using aptitude and now some websites such as Facebook indicate that javascript is disabled in Firefox. I have it checked on in the preferences with everything checked on in the advanced section. What can I do to repair this? I'm not much of a geek when it comes to Linux. I can use it but I'm not well versed in codes and commands.

I can't get the edit feature to work. I just want to add that it appears to work when I test it in http://www.bodo.com/javame.htm but Facebook shows a message that javascript is disabled. The system updates included a newer version of Firefox which fixed a javascript vulnerability.
Edit: I'll consider this solved since the problem disappeared on its own. Not sure what happened. It seems that the edit function is working again on this site.

If its firefox make sure Noscript isn't installed. That would block such images. In ubuntu Firefox came with Noscript. It took me a couple of times to realize it.

I don't have Noscript installed. It must have been a fluke or something since it worked properly a day later and have not had any problems since.
Thank you much.

Would this also cause frostwire to not load?

How does one check to be sure noscript is'nt installed? I just made a fresh install of xubuntu on a 1300mhz machine and for some reason frostwire won't load in when I click it in network.

I've downloaded and installed it twice but still no go. Is this a cause of noscript?

Sorry, you are on your own with this one. This forum does not allow assistance with peer to peer software. I also don't know anything about Frostwire (even if it was allowed to be discussed here) since I never used it. I do have a bit torrent application that came with my OS but I have never made use of it so I don't even know what it's called offhand.

Thanks anyway.
