I will second the Computergeeks.

Although, I don't buy memory from them. I have had too many problems with cheap memory, so I always buy good warrantied memory.

I have used www.memman.com from Louisianna for memory before. They warranty thier inhouse named memory, but I have not had to return any, so I can't say how thier smooth a return will go. I bought 60 sticks of 128meg PC100 in January 2001 and have not had any problems with any of it.

No preference on CPU.Whatever I get my hands on at the best price.
I actually bought some pc66 dimms from the Geeks for $7 a stick.Needed to upgrade an IBM Aptiva E-24 and they did the trick.I buy my new ram from crucial as it's garunteed for life and I havent gotten a bad stick ever. They dont have rimms, though.

For work. We needed to upgrade a bunch of systems so we could run them for another year(which is beginning to look like two years, but hey not my decision. The city council decided to get all of the computers at the same time)

I like the AMD CPU's. The price for the amount of performance you get is very good.

Just don't skimp on the powersupply and make sure to buy an AMD recommended heatsink/fan combo for it.

AMD has released the 2200+, but I have not seen one in action. Intel now has the 2.53ghz P4 which is an expensive sucker to say the least.

If I were building one at this time, I would go with the AMD for what I would do with it. (Heck for what I do at home, a cheap Duron would work)
