Linksys 4Port Router...
Will Red Hat 8.0 be able to obtain an internet connection through this device? I currently share my Cable connection between 2 Windows XP boxes with this. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

yes... you can use any router with any operating system... thats not a compatability thing... you could hook up a windows 95 box, 98, me, 2k, bsd, redhat, and gentoo system all up to that router, and all would work just fine...

anyway now that im blabbing, it should work just fine...

Would there be any differences in configuring the router for a Linux operating sys, as opposed to what I had to do for Win XP?

Thanks Again!!!

nope, dont have to change anything on the router... just make sure you activate and "trust" eth0, or whatever ethernet device you will use, when you install... other than that, plug it in and go...

I just bought the Linksys etherfast 4 port dsl/cable router. It works fine. The first one I got
was bad and I called tech support. When they heard I was running Linux, they said that they
don't support Linux installations. If you can live without that, you'll be fine.
