| MSE found Trojan:Win32/Jpgiframe.A So, I was browsing around 4chan (I know, not the best place to be, but boredom will do that to ya) and clicked on a .jpg, almost immediately after opening the image MSE found this - Trojan:Win32/Jpgiframe.A I was using Firefox when this happened, my main browser is Chrome though. MSE seems to have deleted the file that was created, and the computer also seems to be running fine, but, I'm not too experienced with Trojan's and the like, and would like some help to make sure I'm safe. Side note: This has nothing to do with the current issue but may it affect the troubleshooting process. As of late my PC seems to freeze up at the windows logo during startup, and usually takes a couple of hard reboots to get past it. I am not sure if restarts experience this problem, but if it does hang up on a restart would it harm or damage anything being done by security programs requiring restarts? I attached attach.txt for dds System Specs Tech Support Guy System Info Utility version 1.0.0.1 OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium , 64 bit Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 B55 Processor, AMD64 Family 16 Model 4 Stepping 3 Processor Count: 4 RAM: 4095 Mb Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460, 768 Mb Hard Drives: C: Total - 476837 MB, Free - 181629 MB; Motherboard: ASRock, 870 Extreme3, , Antivirus: Microsoft Security Essentials, Updated and Enabled MSE Trojan:Win32/Jpgiframe.A Category: Trojan Description: This program is dangerous and executes commands from an attacker. | So I've been waiting since the 30th and still no reply... I realize the helpers are very busy and take time from their own schedules to help, and I'm not complaining but it seems as though some are receiving help whilst others seem to be overlooked, even having posted days before others. I'm just curious why? Does bumping still create a problem with the replies to the thread (though I thought the "New vs. In Progress" fixed that)? Would you be more likely to get reply by keeping the thread at 0 posts? Or are some cases just more common/easier to fix that they get handled with first? (I see a lot of people with redirect issues) I'm just curious is all, not criticizing (although inadvertently I may be...) |
